Icarus is a radio show and a podcast, broadcasted every Sunday night between 21-22h at 105.3 Urgent Fm (Ghent), and at midnight on Tuesday night at 106.9 YouFM (Mons), two Belgian radio stations.
It wants to be the home of all music that doesn't fit between defined borders. Musical styles like new classical, ambient, blues, jazz, minimal, balearic, psychedelica, krautrock will find their way to you through this show.
We feature in our show bands you may never have heard of, strange kaleidoscope noise, or heart warming blues and jazz from the past. You may experience a dark musical trip through our galaxy, floating on clouds and melting by the sun between heaven and hell. Icarus wants to give you an eargasm, no more, no less.

Jeroen De Wandel Host of the Icarus radio show. He started to dj back in the days in 1997 and was part of the dj house & electro duo d'Ache & d'Elle, who played in clubs and festivals all over Belgium. After their split d'Ache developed a growing intrest in jazz, funk, electronica and weird shit. He still plays a lot at bars and clubs in Belgium, from jazz to techno, without borders. |

Pieter Van Nieuwenhove The beautiful voice you hear in our jingles is his. Pieter was also part of the dj duo d'Ache & d'Elle, before he started to explore the borders of music in genres like jazz, funk, chanson... After his radio studies at the Rits he worked at Fm Brussels radio station. In 2009 he had his own radio show 'Lazy Sunday' at Studio Brussel, the national radio station. |
